Today is very first day of your train journey. After the breakfast you will proceed to Colombo Fort Railway Station to take local train to Kandy. Afternoon city tour of Kandy and evening visit Temple of the tooth relic,
Kandy was the last capital of the ancient kings' era of Sri Lanka. The city lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is both an administrative and religious city and is also the capital of the Central Province. Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world. It was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1988.
The English name Kandy, which originated during the colonial era, is derived from an anglicized version of the Sinhalese Kanda Uda Rata (meaning the land on the mountain) or Kanda Uda Pas Rata (the five counties/countries on the mountain). The Portuguese shortened this to "Candea", using the name for both the kingdom and its capital. In Sinhalese, Kandy is called Maha Nuwara, meaning "Great City" or "Capital", although this is most often shortened to Nuwara.
Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site mainly due to the temple.

Today you travel to explore the Knuckles Mountain Range located in central Sri Lanka, in the Districts of Matale and Kandy. These breathtaking mountains contains different forest formations, variety of rare and endemic fauna and flora. Knuckles range comprise approximately 0.03% of the island’s total area bordering with small rural villages work in agriculture. It offers some challenging trekking routes with rewarding scenic views including waterfalls, cloudy forests, grasslands etc.
Early morning you will be picked up from Kandy hotel at 0600Hrs with packed breakfast and reach to the knuckles trail head by 0730Hrs. Before starting the trek get brief description of your routes and the area. There will be two trekking pathways Water fall trekking and the Knuckles peak hike. According to your choice we start the hike through the scenic wild trails. While traveling you can search variety of wild fauna and flora. We spend some time to rest and relax at the trail depend on your capacity. Lunch at the trail and afternoon we start back journey to the trail head.

After the morning breakfast travel to Hatton by train and check in to the Punsisi Nallathanniya. We Begin climb at approximately 0200 hrs. Climb through the night in order to reach the summit by dawn to witness a once in a lifetime sunrise. (If not cloudy….!)
(The pilgrim season for Adams peak is December to May. During this time thousands of pilgrims climb to the summit every night. The pathway is lit and the experience is a cultural treat. During the rest of the year the path way is not lit and there are no pilgrims, however the beauty, serenity and adventure of Adam’s Peak remain.)
Descend Adam's Peak and after you have chance to have a hot meal.

Breakfast at the Hotel and drive to Hatton railway station to take local train to Nanu Oya. On arrival at Nanu Oya railway station you will be met by our representative with Car and you will be transferred to Hotel Avian Breeze. After the Lunch you have city tour of Nuwara Eliya.
Nuwara Eliya is a city in the hill country of the Central Province, Sri Lanka. Its name means "city on the plain (table land)" or "city of light". The city is the administrative capital of Nuwara Eliya District, with a picturesque landscape and temperate climate. It is at an altitude of 1,868 m (6,128 ft) and is considered to be the most important location for tea production in Sri Lanka. The city is overlooked by Pidurutalagala, the tallest mountain in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya is known for its temperate, cool climate — the coolest area in Sri Lanka. The city was founded by Samuel Baker, the discoverer of Lake Albert and the explorer of the Nile in 1846. Nuwara Eliya's climate lent itself to becoming the prime sanctuary of the British civil servants and planters in Ceylon. Nuwara Eliya, called Little England, was a hill country retreat where the British colonialists could immerse in their pastimes such as fox hunting, deer hunting, elephant hunting, polo, golf and cricket

After the early morning breakfast, you will proceed to the Horton Plains for Kirigalpoththa trekking. This National park situated on Sri Lanka's highest plateau over 2100m above sea level in the central mountains. It is a strange and tranquil region with an astounding variety of scenery – from misty mountains to grasslands, from marshes to ice cold streams, lakes and waterfalls. This world heritage national park contains two mountain peak such as Kirigalpoththa (7,838 ft.) and Thotupola Kanda (7,733 ft.), are the second and the third highest of Sri Lanka. These are situated to the west and north respectively. Among them Kirigalpoththa mountain range offers some challenging trekking routes with rewarding scenic views. Kirigalpoththa has distinctive flora and flora with a high level of endemism, Three endemic Agamid Lizards and endemic purple monkey are among the important animal species that could be seen in addition to sambhur, Giant Squirrels and wild Hares.

Morning arrived to Nanu Oya railway station to take train to Ella. This stretch of rail road running through the beautiful landscapes. While the train pulls on the winding road, one can witness the wide vistas of Sri Lankan central hills. After getting down from the train at Ella station, & exploring Ella.
Ella is situated at an elevation of 1,041 meters above the sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Ella area surrounded by hills covered with verities of forest formations and tea plantations.

Today morning you have long hour train journey to Colombo. After the getting down from the Colombo Fort Railway Station you will transfer to the hotel and evening spent at the hotel.
